Da Mojo has historically been a casual raiding guild. Right now we are excited about the changes to Azeroth that Cataclysm has brought. We are a group of adults who work, go to school and raise families. Maturity is a must for all our members. This has kept Da Mojo strong for over five years now. We do not attempt to be first in anything. We raid to have fun with our online friends and families. Gear and other loot comes secondary on our list of fun. Many guilds boast a drama free environment with a helpful and friendly membership base. Although no guild may truly claim to be drama free, Da Mojo truly embodies the friendly and helpful aspect while keeping drama almost non-existent. Our Leadership is strong and active. Anyone considering membership is more than welcome to log onto our server and look up ANY member of Da Mojo and ask them any questions you might have about our guild.
It's official. Deverra is our fiery first kitty of feral uberness. Perhaps when Majordomo Staghelm said "The only way you're getting this staff is to pry it from my cold dead fingers!" he didn't realize we'd take him literally? Well, we did. Cold dead fingers. Check. Staff obtained. Check. Flaming kitty. Check!
"Deverra's squishing me and he won't move over!"
"You're sitting on my side of the seat ... see the line is right there!"
"Umm, Saelinar's trying to put a jelly bean up his nose ..."
"Am not! I was just smelling it! .... Hey, Kartear, want a jelly bean?"
"Someone wind the window down ... it smells like the undead in here!"
Well, so far we haven't had to pull the woolly mammoth over, and our journey through the Firelands is rolling right along. On our first week's expedition, we danced in Beth'tilac's acid rain and ran around stomping on her little spider friends. I think I still have spider bits stuck on my shoes. So gross. Then we played fetch with Shannox and his puppies until we were bored ... and then we killed them. We did have a few moments left over, so we wandered up the hill and let Rhyolith lay waste to us all. Hey, it's important that the bosses get to feel good about themselves every once in a while too, you know.
In our second week we re-learned what we learned the first week on the spider chick and the dog man, and then toddled off to say hello to Alysrazor. I will say this ... Mind Flay while running is super. freakin. weird. Hats off to Dindrik who did an terrific job as our one-man airborne squadron. It's not good to let the bosses feel *too* good about themselves, so we decided we had better kill her and move on. Stabbing Rhyolith in the foot was much more successful this week. He got mad, then he got fiery, then we killed him very dead. It was most satisfying. We capped off our excursion by rendering Baleroc quite dead on our first attempt. He has a very large, very fiery sword. No kidding. Check out the picture gallery ... it's in there.
In next week's episode:
Will Gorathy do more than 16 dps?
Will Crashtend reclaim his "hey, I'm the "oh oops!" puller in this guild, Zazhu ... not you!" position?
Will Deverra cut a deal with the Firelands bosses to switch sides in return for the ability to become a fiery kitty?
Because we are interested in developing long-term members, we accept applications from players at a variety of levels. We are not an alt or twink guild, so you should not apply if you are only looking for a place to park your secondary character while you do most of your adventuring somewhere else. If you are interested in raiding, you should be aware that raid team membership in Da Mojo requires a mature outlook and particular commitments, which are clearly spelled out in our guild rules. Because we are more interested in recruiting excellent people than particular classes or specs, applications are always open regardless of what type of character you love to play. Please put in your application and we will get in touch with you in game about your application. Real life family and friends of our current members are always welcome.
Our needs can change day to day so we don't advertise what classes are needed or not. Please put in your application and we will get in touch with you in game about your application. We will always accept those regardless of class or spec for real life Family and Friends of our current members.
