Post subject: GUILD RULES PLEASE READ
PostPosted: Mon Apr 06, 2009 2:34 pm
Those who become a new member are given the rank of Mojo Seeker. This is the the name of the rank in which the new member is an initiate. This last for 30 days in which time the new member and the guild can see if this will be a good fit for both sides.
Promotions are usually only given out at our guild meetings unless previously agreed upon by an officer of Da Mojo....

All members are expected to log onto their characters at least once every 30 days to keep our roster looking active. This includes ALTS you may have in the guild as well. There is very few exceptions to this rule other than what is agreed upon by the individual and an officer. For example, we give special considerations to those in the armed forces who have to be away for extended amounts of time.

Please consider all rules below before you reply to this post.
=========================================================================================

GENERAL RULES OF CONDUCT

The following Rules of Conduct are not up for debate. They are followed or disciplinary actions can be taken up to but not

limited to expulsion from Da Mojo.

Please read all rules below as there will be no excuse for not knowing.

1. You will in no way advertise your hatred of anyone for their race, religion, sex, country of origin, or sexual

orientation while the guild name Da Mojo is above your character's head.
This reflects poorly on you and Da Mojo.

2. There will be no public brow beating of any member or non-member.
This means there will be no general chat, trade chat, or other public means of saying hurtful or angry things about any other player while

you are a member of Da Mojo.

3. While you are in a Pick up Group (PuG) you will adhere to the rules. Make sure you know how they want to handle

loot as it may be different than Da Mojo's way of doing loot. If you have issue with a PuG member then by all means leave the group or kick

them from the group but do not get dragged into a name calling match. Da Mojo is better than that. If the other party says bad things to

you, please take screen shots so that we can show them to their guild leader for resolution.

4. There will in no way be any disrespectful attitude toward any member of Da Mojo by another member.
This especially concerns those who are speaking with officers. Just remember to be respectful.

5. Members of Da Mojo will abide by Blizzard Terms of Agreement with no exceptions. This includes but is not limited

to, Paid Power Leveling, Gold Purchasing, Bug Exploits that give you an unfair advantage. Also if a member has their account banned due to

any activity which breaks this rule, it can affect the guild as well. I have seen a guild picked apart by Blizzard due to one person's screw

up. It will not happen here. This offense is met with immediate /gkick.

6. There will be no public or private begging for things from Da Mojo Members or Non-Members. This includes but is not

limited to:
* Asking others for excessive amounts of gold.
* Asking someone to run you through an instance repeatedly.
* Having help from higher level members is a privilege, not a right. Be respectful when asking, Only ask once, and

always remember when they do run you through an instance or help on a quest, to say thank you because they have things they would like to

accomplish and can not do that if they have to hold your hand all the time. Some thanks for what they do is not hard and it costs you

nothing.
* Da Mojo is renown for helping its members by making items for no more than the mats or less. Please do not try to sell

your items in Guild. If you really must sell it, put it on the AH or advertise it in trade. Otherwise you may trade it in Guild no issues. You will see lots of items given away in guild chat. When we strengthen other members we strengthen Da Mojo and thus strengthen ourselves.

7. Current levels for guild membership are as follows:
New members that we do not know in game or in real life must be level 70+.
New members that we know in game must be level 60+.
New members that we know in real life must be level 50+.
Alts of current members must be level 40+.
Members of the rank Mojo Seeker are not allowed alts until they reach the rank of Tribesman/Voodoo Doll or higher. This is due to Mojo

Seeker being an initiate on a 30 day trial basis.

Our ranks are as follows:
*Mojo Mon = Guild Leader
*Tribal Elder = Veteran Officer
*Witch Doctor = Officer
*Shadow Hunter = Officer Alts - this was created so that when invites or other officer duties need be performed we do

not have to change characters to do so.
*Head Hunter = Veteran Member
*Tribesman = Member
*Deja Voodoo = Member Alts
*Voodoo Doll = Underage members - This can be overcome by some of our more mature youth. It is not unknown for them to

make higher ranks wihtin the guild.
*Mojo Seeker = New initiate

All promotions to new ranks are given at our guild meetings. This is a time we celebrate our fellow guild mates and their achievments.

These rules may be changed or added to at as the need dictates. Any changes made will be announced in guild meetings.

8. Guild meetings are held every second Sunday of each month. The only exception to this is holidays in which we move

it to the Third Sunday of that month. You are not required to be at every single meeting but if you plan to be in game durring that time,

please be at the meeting. If you can not make it due to other obligations please let an officer know. It will be noted and if you were up

for promotion, you will receive it anyway.

9. All guilds try to keep their members active to make their guild more attractive to other players who may be looking

for a new home for their characters. Da Mojo is no different in that we try to keep our roster clean and looking active. This is harder to

do when we have so many alts in guild. To keep it looking active any characters not logged onto in 30 days or longer may be removed from

guild. This goes for mains as well as alts. If you have obligations that will keep you away longer, please let us know, we will note it in

officer notes on your character and you will be given exception. An example of this is millitary leave.

VENTRILO RULES
While on Ventrilo these rules must be observed.

1. Do not enter an instance or raid channel unless invited or you are an Officer.

2. No arguing on Ventrilo.

3. Make every effort to fix volume when asked by others if it is too high or has undue feedback. You do not need to

speak on Vent, only listen and if you have excessive feedback, not talking is recommended.

4. When you walk away from your mic, please set it to mute.

5. Ventrilo must be set to Push-To-Talk. This means simply that no one likes to hear you breathe, eat, or scream at

your siblings etc. be courteous and set a push button for Vent. Most use their Scroll Wheel for this. It is also recommended that you

remove the check from the box marked "Play Key Clicks".

6. Watch your language while in Ventrilo. Just keep in mind that our members are made up of different nationalities,

different sexes and different beliefs. Also some of our members have their children in guild. So be mindful of who you tell a dirty joke

too.

Any of these rules being broken will be dealt with by Verbal warning and up to but not limited to being banned from Ventrilo.

LOOT RULES
Mostly we use the system that is pretty standard across all guilds.

1. Bind on Equip (BoE) can be greeded. It can be needed if it is indeed an upgrade from the current item you have

equipped. It is common practice to ask before you do this, just to be sure the rest of the group is ok with it. This is mostly true when you

are teamed with another guild or PuG group.

2. Bind on Pickup (BoP) are almost always passed on by everyone. This is so that no accidental needs or greeds are

done so that we can insure who needs it gets it, or if no one needs it everyone can /roll for it. If there is an Enchanter in the group you

can ask to roll for the shard, again this is when you are in a PuG or teamed with another guild.
It is known in our guild that if we find an item no one can use that is BoP then it is DE for the guild or can be rolled on if everyone

agrees, but most of the time the person who can DE keeps the mats for later use for guild enchants.

3. When needing on an item it must be indeed needed as an upgrade for your character. Raid loot rules will be below.

4. When you see everyone passing on the object, then you should do the same in most cases of BoP... No exceptions! The

only possible exception that I am aware of is when the Corrupter's Scourge Stones. Then can be Greeded even though they are BoP. If you are

in doubt about loot rules in guild or PuG run ask.

5. Do not loot during combat. Reason for this is to get use to not looting during combat for raid instances. When

someone is fighting and things are popping up on screen which could get the group wiped. So... Don't do it on 5 man or up just to get into

practice.

CURRENT RAID RULES

1. When in progression raids it is expected that your main character be the one attending unless the raid leader asks

you for an alt due to raid need. The reason for this is to gear your mains up for progression. If we half gear alts and mains there is no

progression. Exceptions can occur when an instance is declared on "farm status" or a run is declared an alt run...However this can only be

after Progression is secure.

2. Prior to being invited to any raids you must have declared which character is your main.

3. Prior to being invited to any raids you must have declared which spec is your main spec and which is your off spec

if applicable. AN example of this could be my main Shaebedi: Main spec Restoration, Off spec Enahancement.

4. Loot drops will be rolled for in this order:
a. Main spec need rolls
b. Off spec rolls
c. third spec if any
d. Will be DE for guild

5. BoE items will only be rolled for on main spec need ONLY. If there is no need for the BoE item, then it will go to

guild for others not there that can use the item as main spec upgrades.

RAID SCHEDULE

Raid times are all server time (EST):
Friday - 7:30 PM - ?
Saturday - 7:30 PM - ?
Sunday - 7:30 - ? - Is usually for progression.
Random 10 and 25 man raids throughout the week.

Currently we use the in game Calender that Blizzard has provided for sign ups. The raid calendar on this site is no longer used. The raid

leader will choose teams by approving them on the calendar.

6. If you have accepted an invite and are confirmed for the raid you are expected to be there on time and prepared to

go. Exceptions to this are made on a case by case basis if you let the raid leader or an officer know you will be late or can not make it.

If you can not make it please make an effort to change your status for that raid. There is also an AFK board here on the forums just for

the purpose of letting others know you will be away for that day or any extended amount of time.
We do not keep track of how many raids you go to and do not care of you don't want to raid at all or only part time, but if you sign up we

do expect you to be there.

Invites will start on the time the raid was set for. Standbys will be picked at 15 minutes after that time if the raid is not full, and at

30 minutes after the raid time the raid can be called if we have too many no shows. This is extremely unfair to those who do show up and do

not get to go, but if there was a valid reason such as RL things such as work, school or family obligations, then it is understood.
An example of this would be: Raid is set up as starting at 7:30 PM server. At 7:30 invites start. At 7:45 Standbys are called into service

to fill any empty spots. At 8:00 the raid can be called if there are too many no shows. This decision is left completely to the raid

leader or the raid group. Usually if only one or two spots are needed we can call in some friends to fill the spot.

IN ORDER TO BE CHOSEN FOR RAIDS YOU MUST HAVE REPLIED TO THIS POST AFTER BECOMING A MEMBER.

IF YOU ARE A CURRENT MEMBER, PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS POST WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

Main raid character
Main spec
Off spec

BY RESPONDING TO THIS POST YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE GUILD RULES. IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP YOUR AGREEING TO THESE RULES ON THE APPLICATION BUT WE WILL STILL NEED TO KNOW YOUR MAIN SPEC/OFF SPEC AND MAIN CHARACTER.

If for any reason your main character changes, or your main spec changes, please come back here and note it.
